“GOD WILL PROVIDE

There was once a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old shotgun and three bullets, so, he decided that he would go out and kill something for dinner

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit and shot at the rabbit and he missed it. Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and missed it. As he went further, he saw a wild turkey in the tree and he had only one bullet, but a voice came to him and said “pray first, aim high and stay focused.”

However, at the sane time, he saw a deer which was a better kill. He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattle snake between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattle snake

Still, the voice said to him, “I said ‘pray, aim high and stay focused.” So, the man decided to listen to the voice. He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree and shot the wild turkey. The bullet bounced of the turkey and killed the deer. The handle fell of the gun and hit the snake in the head and killed it.

And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond. When he stood to look around, he had fish in his pockets, a dead deer and a turkey to eat.

The snake (Satan) was dead simply because the listened to GOD.

***Bottom line:

Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God. Pass this on in order that someone else might be blessed.
Never let others discourage you concerning your past. The past is exactly that – “the past.” Live everyday one day at a time. And remember that God only knows our future and that he will not put you through any more than you can bear.
Do not look to man for your blessings but look to the Lord.
He can open up doors for you that only HE is able to do. Doors that you will not slip through but doors that only He has prepared in advance for you in your favor.

Wait, and be still, patient:
Keep god first and everything will follow.

P.S. When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say,
“Jesus, could you please get that for me?”

LIFE

Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where
You have been, but also where you are going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way

Do not be afraid to encounter risks. It is taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Do no let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future.

By living your life one day at time, you live all the days of your life.

Do not give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing, Is really over until the moment you stop trying.

DEAR CHILD

When I used to live with my perents they had this message below pasted on our fridge .I used to hate the sight of it because I hated the fact that it was a contant reminder of my place in our home.It emphasized the fact that as a child I had on rights until I moved out of their house. As a child I had to obey them Until I was indipendent and could afford to stay at my own place.I am amazed at the freedom the youth of today have, but I 'd rather have to stay in a home with rules than stay in a home without.Read this and tell me what you think.

DEAR CHILD

AS LONG AS YOU LIVE IN THIS HOUSE YOU WILL
FOLLOW THE RULES. WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR OWN
HOUSE, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN RULES

IN THIS HOUSE WE DO NOT HAVE A DEMOCRACY
I DID NOT CAMPAIGN TO BE YOUR PARENT
YOU DID NOT VOTE FOR ME. WE ARE PARENT AND
CHILD BY THE GRACE OF GOD, AND I ACCEPT THAT
PRIVELEGE AND AWESOME RESPONSIBILITY

IN ACCEPTING I HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO PERFORM
THE ROLE OF A PARENT, I AM NOT YOUR PAL
OUR AGES ARE TOO DIFFERENT. WE CAN SHARE MANY
THINGS BUT WE ARE NOT PALS, I AM YOUR PARENT
THIS IS 100 TIMES MORE THAN WHAT A PAL IS.

I AM ALSO YOUR FRIEND, BUT WE ARE ON ENTIRELY DIFFERENT LEVELS. YOU WILL DO IN THIS HOUSE
AS I SAY AND WHILE YOU MAY ASK QUESTIONS
YOU MAY NOT QUESTION MY AUTHORITY.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WHATEVER I ASK OF YOU TO
DO IS MOTIVATED BY LOVE. THIS WILL BE HARD FOR
YOU TO UNDERSTAND, UNTIL YOU HAVE A CHILD OF YOUR OWN. UNTIL THEN, TRUST ME.

YOUR PARENT

“Anyway”

People are unreasonable, illogical and self centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful you win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frakness makes you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

People favour underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for some under dogs anyway.

What you spent years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People need help but may attack you if you help them.
Help them anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teath.
Give the world the best you have got
Anyway!

A Smile

It costs nothing- but means so much

It enriches those who receive it, without impoverishing those who give it.

It happens in a flesh, but sometimes the memory lasts forever.

None are so rich that they can get on without it.
And some are poor, but are richer for its benefits.

It is the rest for the weary- day light to the discouraged

Sunshine to the sad and natures antidote in times of trouble.

Yet it can not be bought – borrowed or stolen.
For it is something that has no earthly use to anyone unless given away.

And if someone is too tired to give you one ,
Then leave them one of yours- for no-one needs a smile so much as those who have none to give!

HOW TO TELL A WINNER FROM A LOSER

OR

Are you a loser or a winner? Here are some points to tell if you are either of the two.

A WINNER SAYS :”LET’S FIND OUT”
A LOSER SAYS:”NOBODY KNOWS”

WHEN A WINNER MAKES A MISTAKE,HE SAYS:”I WAS WRONG “WHEN A LOSER MAKES A MISTAKE HE SAYS:”IT WAS NOT MY FAULT”

A WINNER GOES THROUGH A PROBLEM,A LOSER GOES AROUND IT,AND NEVER GETS PAST IT.

A WINNER MAKES COMMITMENT,
A LOSER MAKES PROMISES.

A WINNER SAYS:I AM GOOD,BUT NOT AS GOOD AS I OUGHT TO BE” A LOSER SAYS:”I AM NOT AS BAD AS A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE”

A WINNER TRIES TO LEARN FROM THOSE WHO ARE SUPERIOR TO HIM,A LOSER TRIES TO TEAR DOWN THOSE WHO ARE SUPERIOR.

A WINNER SAYS:”THERE OUGHT TO BE A BETTER WAY TO DO IT” A LOSER SAYS:”THAT’S THE WAY IT’S ALWAYS BEEN DONE”

A WINNER SAYS:”I’M GOING TO DO I

A LOSER SAYS:”FORGET IT,IT WON’T WORK

A Must read

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?'the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know.

Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make R50.00 an hour..'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow R25.00?'

The father was furious,

'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed.

Think about why you are being so selfish.

I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so,the man had calmed down ,and started to think:Maybe there was something he really neededto buy with that R25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often.
The man went to the door ofthe little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier'said the man.

'It's been a long day andI took out my aggravation on you.

Here's the R25.00 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.

'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pull ed out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you alreadyhave some?' the father grumbled.

Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have R50.00 now.
Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that R50.00 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. Make time for living while you're still breathing.
Can I Borrow R25.00?

The husband store

The Husband Store

A store that sells husbands has just opened where a woman may go to choose a husband from among many men. The store is composed of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights.
There is, however, a catch. As you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building.
So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband.
On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs. The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what's further up?"
So up she goes.
The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids. The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's further up?" And up she goes again.
The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love kids and are extremely good looking. "Hmm, better" she says. "But I wonder what's upstairs?"
The fourth floor sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking and help with the housework. "Wow!" exclaims the woman, "very tempting. BUT, there must be more further up!" And again she heads up another flight.
The fifth floor sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with the housework and have a strong romantic streak. "Oh, mercy me! But just think... what must be awaiting me further on?" So up to the sixth floor she goes.
The sixth floor sign reads:
Floor 6 - You a re visitor 3,456,789,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at The Husband Store and have a nice day

Violence in Schools

Violence in schools is fast becoming a major issue
and an obstacle to learning in South African schools. The increasing levels of violence have got everyone in the country asking: Why is the so much violence in schools and can we do about it?

The fact of the mater is several factors are contributing to the upsurge of violence in our schools. Schools today compete with many fashionable trends. Learners are exposed to may different aspects of several cultures-Gangs, Hip-hop, television, crime, media, family influence and religious influence.

Television glamorizes violence while media reports violent behavior that threatens innocent daily so the youth have become immune to horrifying stories they see and hear everyday. The youth often watch television without supervision because it is used as a baby sitting tool.

One may ask themselves where are the parents? Schools are given the burden of dealing with these violent youth where- as the parents are passively ignoring their roles as good role models and the main people who have a greater influence to their childrens’behaviour. .Teachers are expected to perform miracles and try and solve this problem. I think it is high time parent do their part and start working together with educators to solve this problem.

Sugar Daddies-UJ students at residentials

I was shocked by the documentary I saw on television a few weeks ago. The documentary was on students who were dating older men because they wanted financial security. These students were boastfully taking of how these sugar daddies were giving them money to support their lifestyles because their parents could not afford to give them money to eat or even buy clothes. I believe most of them came to further their studies and I would think they are intelligent enough to make informed decision about their lives, but what I saw was a disgrace.

They were expressing themselves with such pride and contentment, as they were trying to justify their immoral behaviuor.I thought it was very irresponsible of them to go on public with this kind of behavior because they are setting a bad example to future varsity students and creating a false impression about varsity residentials. It is such a shame that these young women are subjecting themselves to indirect prostitution in the name of being poor. This kind of behaviour really has some of us asking ourselves if really there is moral degeneration among the youth of today. Why is t that the youth are proud of such immoral behavior?

Quotations about Teachers

Here are some of my favourite teacher or teaching quotes.I hope you will find one that will inspire you.

The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate "apparently ordinary" people to unusual effort. The tough problem is not in identifying winners: it is in making winners out of ordinary people. ~K. Patricia Cross

Teaching is not a lost art, but the regard for it is a lost tradition. ~Jacques Barzun

Teachers who inspire realize there will always be rocks in the road ahead of us. They will be stumbling blocks or stepping stones; it all depends on how we use them. ~Author Unknown

Teachers who inspire know that teaching is like cultivating a garden, and those who would have nothing to do with thorns must never attempt to gather flowers. ~Author Unknown

A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils. ~Ever Garrison

Don't try to fix the students, fix ourselves first. The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student superior. When our students fail, we, as teachers, too, have failed. ~Marva Collins

Education is the mother of leadership.-

Education is the guardian genius of democracy. It is the only dictator that free men recognize, and the only ruler that free men require.-

How I came into the faculty of education.

Teaching or a career in education was not my first career choice. I wanted to pursue a career in the medical faculty. My first choice was Medicine and my second choice was Biomedical Technology. I failed to pursue any of these two careers because of financial constraints and mostly because my matric results could nor guarantee me a bursary. The medical faculty required that I should do a bridging course for a year and I felt it was a waste of time and I did not have the finances. A career in the medical field has always been my dream. I felt that as a medical doctor I would able to help people and do my best to heal their ailments. Biomedical technology was my second because it was also in the medical field and I thought I would have enjoyed working in the laboratory and making my contribution by helping the doctor discover what ailments their patients were suffering from, but it seems fait had its own plans for my future. Here I am today studying to become a teacher. I think the fact that there is a shortage of Maths and Science teachers urged me to come into the field to try and help our youth and our country. All things considered being a teacher is just as important as all other careers. So the question is why any of you came into the faculty of education. Was it life circumstances or was it your first choice?
